    Year one had a lovely, informative and tranquil drop down day. Ustaad told the children the story of Yunus (AS) and Nuh ((AS). We learnt that as the prophets we are also all interdependent on each other and the natural world around us for our very existence and survival ultimately we are dependent on Allah.

    In year one we all were celebrating Eid Ul Fitr. The children came into school in their best clothes and were all looking beautiful. Throughout the day they were participating in making eid cards, henna patterns, sharing their eid experiences and enjoying a festive Eid lunch.

  • New visitors come to Year one!

    As part of our harmony curriculum we are looking at this term the concept of "Adaptation " in the world around us. Therefore to introduce this concept today in year one we had a special visitor from the "happy chick company ".  She introduced the year one team to some key objects we needed to hatch some eggs into chicks. Our year one children will be observing closely how the eggs adapt to its environment and turn into chicks over the weeks to come.

    Our Arabic curriculum is very unique as we develop it in school. We continuously improve our resources hence you will not be able to find a similar one elsewhere.  

    The Arabic Learning Adventure poster is an overview of yearly topics (curriculum) we teach in year 1 class. It contains teaching slide samples we use in class. We hope you will find this helpful in understanding what is being taught in class and also hope it will help you prompt children to tell you more about what is being taught in class.
