Light the way!

Year 4 learnt about electrical circuits! An electrical circuit is a loop through which an electric current can flow.

It consists of:

  • A power source – such as a battery or a generator

  • Wires – which allow electric current to flow through them

  • Components – devices such as switches, bulbs, or motors

'Last week, we looked at electric circuits. We had the chance to make our own torches. I added lots of designs with paper and some tissue paper. For next time, I will add lights that can be recharged to make sure the lights are never out of charge.' - Mardiyah J

'We created torches using a Pringle box, bulbs, wires and switches. My favourite thing was that we got to decorate it!' - Rahma A
