Remembering the Genocide in Srebrenica

Remembering Srebrenica: Lessons from the past, hope for the future.

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, a tragic event in which over 8,000 Bosniak men and boys were killed in July 1995.

To commemorate this solemn day, Ustaadh Mevludin led an assembly with pupils, guiding them through a reflection on the '10 stages of genocide'. The session highlighted the critical importance of remembering the past, not only to honour the victims, but also to inspire present-day action against hatred, discrimination, and intolerance in all its forms.

Let us continue to learn, remember, and stand up for peace and humanity.
