Adventure Awaits: Year 5 Conquer Gilwell Park!

Year 5 had an amazing time on their residential trip to the National Scout Centre at Gilwell Park!
The children took part in many exciting outdoor activities. The trip helped everyone build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and grow in independence. Evenings were spent around the campfire, sharing stories and enjoying time together.
'Hi, I'm Madeeha. On Thursday 15th, we went to the residential. We did lots of activities, like rock-climbing, grass sledging, and even making a shelter out of leaves and sticks. My favourite was the grass sledding because we went to a hill and our friend had to push us down. I enjoyed making the shelter because if you get lost in the forest you can make a shelter. I enjoyed the tip! Wouldn't you have liked to come?
After that, we had sticky, delicious marshmallows. We roasted it and it was so sticky. Then, afterwards, we went to a beautiful mosque, prayed and did story time about the people of the fire. Ustaadh Muhib was a very good storyteller. He had lots of expressions!' - Madeeha S
