The Maze of Temptation: A Mythical Tale with Meaning

End of Year Play – Greek Myths with an Islamic Twist

In English, we’ve been exploring Greek myths, learning about their fascinating characters, powerful gods, and dramatic stories. Inspired by this, we decided to create our end-of-year play based on Greek mythology - but with an Islamic twist and a meaningful Islamic moral.

We combined elements from the myths with values from our faith, creating a unique and thoughtful performance. It was a fun and exciting way to bring the stories to life while also sharing an important message with our parents.

'For our Year 5 play, I was a maze child. This was inspired by Greek Myths, which we have been learning about this term in English. The moral of our play was to always remember Allah and to never be arrogant. What I liked most about the play was the scene about temptations, because it was spooky, dramatic, and fascinating.' - Amna Z
