Drop Down Day 1 - Roman Invasion !
On Drop Down Day 1, Year 4 Lychee Tree and Year 4 Mango Tree classes dressed up as Romans and Celts and had great fun finding places in the local area that would be suitable to invade. Read on to find out more !
Year 4 have been studying the Ancient Romans in History and had a fantastic Drop Down Day with delicious Italian food kindly provided by parents. We practised some battle skills at school first, then went to Goodmayes Park, divided into tribes of British Celts and Italian Romans. We also learnt some Latin and completed our beautiful Roman mosaics in Art. We compared our lives to the Ancient Romans and learnt to appreciate and be thankful for what we have now, in modern times.
