'Yesterday, on Cultural Heritage day, we dressed up in our cultural clothes, and bought food from our culture. We shared the food as a class and talked about where we are from. We also had Ayyadh's mother and grandmother come to school and talk about her life in India. I felt surprised when she said that the school was a bit different when she was growing up. She talked about her journey to school and told us that even if she was one minute late, she got in trouble and had to be sent home. She also said the air was much fresher in her times' - Fatima K.
