Care for Nature: Use gloves and bags to collect litter safely.

The Recycling Game: Who can find the most recyclables? (Paper, plastic, cans).

Save the Animals: Litter can hurt wildlife if they eat it or get stuck.

In English, we’ve been exploring Greek myths, learning about their fascinating characters, powerful gods, and dramatic stories. Inspired by this, we decided to create our end-of-year play based on Greek mythology - but with an Islamic twist and a meaningful Islamic moral.

We combined elements from the myths with values from our faith, creating a unique and thoughtful performance. It was a fun and exciting way to bring the stories to life while also sharing an important message with our parents.

The children took part in many exciting outdoor activities. The trip helped everyone build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and grow in independence. Evenings were spent around the campfire, sharing stories and enjoying time together.

"On Cultural Heritage day, people bought delicious food from their culture, like samosas, pakoras, and many more. The food was amazing and different cultures had different delicious foods. Throughout the week we have been learning about Sri-Lanka, and it is such a beautiful tropical place. I would love to visit Sri Lanka and the beach and see the beautiful waterfalls." - Arya R

"On Cultural Heritage day we learnt why having a culture is important. Throughout the week we learnt about Sri Lanka and for homework we created beautiful posters. We also bought some food and shared our cultural food with everyone on Cultural Day. It was amazing! There are so many mesmerising places that I would love to visit in Sri Lanka, including their wonderful  waterfalls. A fun fact about Sri Lanka is that the country was one called Ceylon until 1972. "In computing, we used a kit called Crumble. We were using laptops to try and make a sparkle light up, and make a motor spin backwards and forwards. It was a bit hard at first, but we all managed to do it. My favourite part of the lessons was when we were making the motor spin." - Taibah M

'This week was our Drop Down Day. We mainly focused on the River Thames and the world map. We learnt that certain items come by plane and ship. We also learnt the dangers of the ocean.' - Ibaad M

'This term in Geography, we learnt about rural and urban areas. Rural means somewhere like the countryside and urban means somewhere in the city. We also learnt about greenspace. Green space is when there is a park or somewhere in the city which has lots of flowers and plants. My favourite lesson is when we created our city, which has both green spaces and things the city has, such as schools, public transport and cars. We have also made our cities less populated.' - Eesa A

'In English, we learnt about the book Boy In The Tower. I enjoyed reading this book. I also made a prediction that a boy called Ade is frightened of buildings and collapsing and the Blutchers have something to do with it. My predictions were accurate!' - Amirah A

Additionally, we have explored how these features work together to engage audiences and convey messages clearly. By analysing different types of videos, we can evaluate the techniques used to capture attention, communicate ideas, and enhance storytelling.

' In Art, we have been learning about the famous artist Clarrice Cliff. She was an artist who was famous for using bright colours. She was a ceramic artist and her pottery is very famous. We have been making our own version of the bizarre collection in class and painting them' Amirah

' I like painting plates and mugs of Clarrice Cliff. She was famous for her unique pottery designs. She started making pottery from a very young age' Abu-Bakr

Gears, pulleys and leavers are simple mechanisms which allow a small force to be converted into a larger one. Gears are wheels with teeth. When gears are placed next to each other, their teeth slot together (see pictures).  

'We have learnt that objects that have bigger surfaces will fall slower than objects that have a small surface area. A pulley was used in the olden times to help lift heavy objects' Mustapha 

' We had a fantastic time at the RAF Centre! My favourite part was when we packed our suitcases, just like children had to do during the war. We also got to dress up in a real pilot's uniform. We also went inside a replica Anderson Shelter. It gave us an insight into how people survived during the War'  Jannah

' My favourite thing about the Anglo-Saxons was their language. It has unique symbols' Sumayah S

Pupils have been fascinated by the title and the theme of the book.  Here are some of their thoughts about the story so far:

'In English, the whole class learnt about how you should save the precious Earth. We made a large poster as a class, highlighting ways to save the Earth. For example, don't waste water, use public transport, reduce your dairy and many more. It was so fun! Make sure you save the environment too!' - Zayd J

The next day was... you'll never guess what?! Pjama's day! I wore my my pyjamas and I noticed that people were coming looking very suspicious. It was crazy!

On Thursday we had World Book Day! This was the best day of the week for me as I was dressed as a Paddington bear; I created his shirt, coat and suitcase!' - Yusuf R
