This summer, five of our Year 5 pupils were selected to take part in the Redbridge Debate Competition at Parkhill Junior School. They were trained in the English Speaking Union (ESU) method of debate, focusing on speech structure, rebuttal, and making and responding to points of information.

After weeks of preparation, our pupils took part in a dynamic debate against teams from other schools. Alhamdulillah, they impressed judges and peers alike with their clarity, confidence, and teamwork, and were awarded certificates in recognition of their outstanding performance and sportsmanship!
