Our visit to the full Cabinet Meeting at Ilford Town Hall proved to be a tremendous success for our newly-elected student councillors. The evening offered an invaluable opportunity to see local government in action and to understand how key decisions affecting our community are made.

The experience also connected directly to one of the Student Council’s key priorities for the year: exploring ways to support efforts to tackle the local housing crisis. Pupils left the meeting inspired, informed, and eager to continue their work!

We were delighted to be joined by families and friends whose strong turnout beautifully reinforced one of the core messages we aim to teach – that civic engagement and visible participation truly matter. The enthusiasm and support shown made the evening both meaningful and memorable for all involved!
