POST LOCKDOWN ATTENDANCE AND LEAVE

From 8th March 2021 school attendance will be mandatory for pupils, It is the parents responsibility to ensure that their child attends school regularly.  The school will be responsible for recording attendance and following up absences. The school has the right to issue sanctions including fixed penalty notices if an absence has not been authorised by the school in line with the local authorities' codes of conduct

Please note any requests for leave of absence during term time will not be authorised. Government guidelines state that you cannot travel and stay overnight until the 12th April 2021 and travel abroad is unlikely to resume until at least May 2021.  

 

A small number of pupils will still be unable to attend in line with public health advice to self-isolate because they

·  have symptoms or have had a positive test result

·  live with someone who has symptoms or has tested positive and are a household contact

·  are a close contact of someone who has coronavirus (COVID-19)

·   required to quarantine

·   children who have been confirmed as clinically extremely vulnerable (CEV) are advised to shield and stay at home as much as possible until further notice.  They are advised not to attend school while shielding advice applies nationally.  Parents will need to provide a copy of the shielding letter sent to CEV children, to confirm that they have been advised not to attend school.
