Al-Noor Primary (VA) is a new 2 form entry, co-educational school which opened in September 2018 in a new, purpose-built school building.
It started with two year groups: Reception and year one, in September 2019 we opened our year two class. We are now opening year three in September 2020 and will continue to expand year group at a time until it is full in September 2023. The school will welcome a diverse intake of pupils and be inclusive of all. It will strive through its distinctive faith ethos (Muslim) to nurture responsible, highly achieving and engaged citizens who are well-equipped to play a positive role in Redbridge and beyond.

- have experience of curriculum leadership;

- NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
- Qualifications/ accreditation in SEND field e.g. British Sign Language (Desirable), Makaton (Desirable), ELKLAN (Desirable)
- Speech and Language Training (Desirable)
- ELSA (Desirable)
- Positive handling Training (Highly Desirable)
- Experience of working with children of relevant age
- Experience of working with pupils with special or additional needs
- Experience working 1:1 or with small groups of children
- Working with deaf children/and or who have hearing impairment
- Support with toilet needs in line with intimate care policy and EHCP needs of pupils
- Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
- Working knowledge of EYFS and national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes
- Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes and in particular, barriers to learning
- Ability to plan effective actions for pupils at risk of underachieving
- Full understanding of the range of support services/providers
- Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff members, pupils, parents and carers under the direction of the class teacher or SLT
- Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders involved with SEND pupil/s
- Ability to relate well to children and adults
